Your Kids Will Love a Letter From Santa This Year

By Yvonne Brixey

Christmas is here, snow falling to the ground creating a blanket of white across the front lawn. The north pole littered with elves creating toys for each good child. Children anxiously writing letters and letters to the beloved Santa Claus, hoping that they might receive the perfect gift for Christmas. This is a joyous part of year where children believe in something greater, such as Father Christmas, and there is nothing that can quite compare to a child receiving a response with a letter from santa.

But before a child can receive a letter from santa, they must first write him. That is why I will be giving you a 'how to' guide on writing a letter to santa. First, you will need a piece of paper, an envelope and a writing utensil. Such as a pen, pencil or crayon. You will want to have your return address on the top left corner of the envelope, so that you can receive a responding letter from santa. You will also need to address it to Santa Claus, Santa Claus House, North Pole. The post man will be able to get it to him from there.

Second thing you will want to do to make sure you receive your letter from Santa, you will want to write the actual letter. Start by addressing santa by saying, "Dear Santa" or "Father Christmas". You will then want to proceed by writing the body of the letter. This will include how your year has been, make sure to include good things you have done this year to help other children or family members. This will help make sure you are on the "good" list and not the "naughty". Then continue by writing a list of things you would like for Christmas this year. Don't over due it because Santa Claus and his elves have a lot of children to make toys for and it can be hard to get everything every boy and girl want. Make sure you only have the top two or three things you want. Then Close the letter by saying, "Sincerely, (and then put your name here). After doing this you will be sure to receive you letter from santa.

The third and final step is to send the letter. You will want to get your self a North Pole postmark or stamp. These will have a picture of Santa, an elf, the north pole or a reindeer on them. (Your letter from Santa will be marked by one as well. This is how you will know it is from him.) After make sure to give the letter to either your mom or your dad. They will know what to do with the letter and make sure that it sent off safely for the North Pole.

After you have completed these steps, you can expect your letter from santa within a week. Those reindeer can get your letter from Santa to your house pretty quickly. The Santa letters will be in a red envelope, and the letter will be written on green paper with gold writing. He will address the children by name and will let you know that his elves have received orders to work on your gifts at the North Pole. Just wait for your letter from Santa Claus, because even though I gave a basic description of it, I can't describe the feeling.Your Kids Will Love a Letter From Santa This Year
