Texas Assisted Living Costs

By Jim Smithies

The baby boomer bunch is about to be the largest ever number of people in the United States to need assisted living type services at the same time. There are so many baby boomers that this combined segment of the population will demand more health services than the US ever dreamed possible. The fastest growing age group will soon be those 100 years old and older. This ancient turtle number sounds unbelievable but it is true. We simply live longer these days and now health care political correctness says that we must offer practically free assisted living and health care to all of these elderly people regardless of how much money they have.

The elderly in the US have been paying the government for medicare and social security as a part of their taxes for years. What the government has done is to borrow from these accounts to spend money on other things. Now that the elderly need to move into assisted living facilities the government will pay for these services by printing more money. The money supply becomes diluted as more currency is printed which allows the elderly to get into their retirement facilities but slowly steals money away from hard working citizens right out of their savings accounts.

What makes matters worse is that people from high taxed states are beginning to move to Texas to live in assisted living facilities. The rent is cheaper, state tax does not exists, and the values and beliefs near and dear many of the elderly is found in this state. Unfortunately many low life retirees will move to Texas from states like California for the affordable cost of Texas elder care. Texas will soon experience overcrowding and a surge in assisted living residents not just from their own citizens but from people out of state.

The US government has borrowed and stolen from the social security and medicare funds that honest citizens paid into for retirement. Now US citizens are seeing their savings diluted as the government prints more currency. It will soon be that a citizen will not be able to save their money in a typical bank account but will have t hide gold and silver coins in their backyard to protect their hard earned work. The assisted living industry will be forced to hand over their business to the government, golf courses will be closed, and the elderly will receive lack luster care for basic medical conditions.

In summary the final outcome of the financial crisis looks dire. The elderly will be hit hard as well as those who have to pay for their elderly medical expenses. Taxes will go up, money will be worth less and riots will break out in the streets. The elderly will move to Texas for the cheap assisted living only to see a large state like Texas to be overcrowded like California. Eventually there will be no place left to turn and not eve Texas will be able to help.
