Best Ways to reduce Puppy Anxiety.

Getting a new puppydog is a exciting time. It's irrelevant what reason you've decided to get a puppy dog, it is a big responsibility. Your new puppy depends on you for its food, friendship and safety. Dog anxiety is always present in a new puppy and even if they seem to be happy, but they'll be feeling concerned about their new environment and the new individuals that are looking after them.

Timing it right.
Always plan to pick up your new puppydog early in the day. This will allow the puppy time to adjust to a new environment and give time for building emotional bonds to the people in the house. If you pick up your new puppy at night, just before the normal bedtime, they will definitely be more uneasy.

Keep in mind that your new young dog has just been separated from its mummy, its siblings and everything they knew to be the world.

Familiar items.

Check with the dog breeder all the individual who you were given your little puppy from to determine if there are any favourite toys, blankets or bedding you can take with you when you pick your puppy up.

Even if the dog breeder is hesitant to give any of your puppy's personal items to you, if you can identify familiar toys and other items you can go to the pet store and purchase these things.

Many dog breeders know about the significance of smell and when the puppies are due to leave their mother and brothers and sisters they will give you one or two items when you pick up your new puppy.
