Choosing A Gender When Getting Pregnant Can Be A Reality

By Pat Lovejoy

Starting a family is a milestone that many couples hope to achieve once they get married. Getting pregnant, however, can be different in reality than what couples expected as there are so many little issues that can crop up to hinder fertility. These issues can be simple like waiting for a woman's body to come back from years of birth control, to some serious things that may require medical intervention. There is another issue that people don't talk about very often and that is the issue of hoping to have one particular gender over another.

While all parents love their kids, there is often the desire to have both genders. A father with a house full of daughter will eventually wonder what it's like to have a son, while mothers of boys will want to dote on a daughter. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just human nature.

Getting sex selection taken care of medically is illegal in a number of countries. Wondering why can be answered simply by pointing out the problem that China is now in the midst of experiencing. After so many decades wherein girls were put up for adoption or killed at birth, there is a surplus of men.

The desire to try for certain genders, however, is something that has existed for thousands of years. There are folktales and urban legends throughout all cultures that are specifically geared toward giving advice to couples trying to conceive. Some of this advice can be, frankly, ludicrous like men ingesting soda to have a boy and women eating chocolate to have a girl. Even the sex based advice regarding positions doesn't have much basis in science.

While most of these recommendations are harmless, they are also not useful, but that isn't to say that there isn't some good and natural advice to be found. The Plan My Baby program has been touted on a number of influential news programs, as well as in print.

Throughout all of the scrutiny, this program has not buckled and that's because of it's success rate and the philosophy that it isn't about changing one or two things at the last minute. To really influence the result of conception would be parents both have to change a few behaviors over time to prime their bodies. The success rate for couples that have tried this program out is just under ninety five percent.

It isn't just the word of mouth that is making couples try this program out, it's the fact that all of the advice is natural. Parents are afraid to use drugs or surgical intervention to get what they want. Drugs especially are hard to accept since studies still haven't been able to peg the long term effects.

This book was created by a former midwife who has worked with hundreds of mothers over her career. One of the issues that she has witnessed is the unnecessary rise in postnatal depression. Depression issues can be dangerous to a mother and her children, but that has not stopped feelings of inadequacy and failure from creeping up on mothers who have had multiple children of the same gender.

There's no reason to feel like this anymore and with the program you'll understand the intricacies of conception in a way that many people don't. There are differences in the mechanics of X and Y sperm and the pH of a vagina can have significant effects on a resulting conception. It is the duty of both parents to prime their bodies if they want to have the gender of their choosing.

Natural options when it comes to gender selection that work are few and far between. If you're looking to start or continue your family then there's nothing to lose by trying a program that so many other couples have found success using.
