Are You Sure Your Site Visitors Trust Your Business?

By Keith Perry

We suspect you know all too well that building enough trust in the minds of your site traffic so they readily do business with you takes real patience and know-how. You want to make money and have a successful business; you need to gain the trust of your markets - follow along and discover a few things, right now.

After all these years, a huge percentage of people on the net know a lot about what goes on, and they can tell pretty fast if there are any games. Even if all of your testimonials are completely legit, some people will still doubt they are real - that is how bad it has become. You should attach as much information of the customer giving the testimonial along with it, so that there's no doubt in the minds of your visitors/prospects. You need to display an accompanying photo with all your testimonials - very important to do that. Video testimonials are the most powerful for obvious reasons, but they can be very tough to get; but maybe worth a shot.

Competition has many benefits even though it seems appealing to not have any at all. Getting into a public exchange of negative and insulting gestures will never work to anyone's advantage in the long term. People generally do not like to see things like that, and we are talking about your target audience, and the impression about you it creates could be harmful. So really the best approach is to avoid this practice at all times, and if someone wants to write something about you that is highly negative than respond professionally. If you want your visitors to actually see you as someone they identify with and would want to do business with, then be clean from such shady tactics and maintain a healthy relationship with your competitors.

Your credibility is far more important and valuable to waste causing any harm to it by questionable marketing practices. Do not deviate from your marketing and business plan that is designed for the longer term. Your reputation really matters when it comes to winning the trust of your visitors, which is why you shouldn't do anything that affects your reputation. So just be careful about what you become attracted to and take care of your business.

Securing a good level of trust with anybody is not always easy, and doing that with a niche market takes even more effort, but it is done all the time so it is doable.
