Welcoming The First Kid In Your House

By Bob Proctor

Are you expecting your newborn? Did the pregnancy test show two lines? If it did, are you ready to have your very own baby? Congratulations to you because you are pregnant. I bet you are pretty psyched on giving birth and finally seeing him in the real world. You finally get to have a little kid of your own. You won't have to be envious of your friends who are now mothers and fathers.

Most people or shall we say couples consider that having a baby is good news. It wouldn't feel like family if you don't have kids. Finally, your prayers have been answered. You are going to have your baby anytime soon. You need to make sure that everything is ready. Also, you might want to keep your hopes up in having a normal delivery.

You are going to be a dad soon and by that it means, you will have to be more responsible now. You need to get his/her room ready. Put black floating shelves so you can put all the stuff there. You should also have protective cushions. You will also need cabinets because black floating shelves are not enough. If you want, you can make your own crib.

There are so many things that you need to buy before making all those things. One most important thing you need to buy is Estwing hammers. Estwing hammers will help you with all the carpentry. You should also buy nails, screws, good piece of wood.

Given all the materials, you have to do all the carpentry work first. Once you are done, you then have to deal with electrical work. You have to think of the lighting. Make sure it isn't too bright and too dark. You might want to use some pin lights in the room.

Because you are going to be a dad, you need to make sure that the kid is safe at all times. You need to foresee the future. He will be walking by the age of two and you might want to make his room accident-proof. Be sure to have cushions place near the corners. You can also put a baby monitor so you will hear him from the other side of the room. If you are thinking of hiring a nanny, buy a nanny cam. It will give you a video footage of the nanny. You will be able to know if you hired a good or a lousy nanny.

Also, make sure the entire house is ready for your little angel. You should have the walker, high chair and mini indoor fences ready. To make it extra special for your kid, you can include a diaper changing area in the bathroom near the living room. This will keep you away from the hassle of going up to the room to change his diaper.
