Must See Places In Vietnam

By Jose Maurette Garces

Explore Hanoi

If you are looking for one of the best tourist attractions for your Vietnam holidays, Hanoi is probably it. This big bustling city may seem a bit confronting at first, but give it a week or two and it will grow on you. Visit the famous must see Perfume Pagoda, and nearby Ha Long Bay and Sapa. Another great tourist destination the Old District.

Explore Northeast Vietnam
Take a trip off the beaten track and visit regions like Cao Bang and Ha Giang. Most tourists never see these places. The average trip, taken on four wheeled vehicles, lasts about five days. To explore even wilder areas, add a couple of days to your journey.

Journey down to Hue

South of Hanoi is the ancient Vietnamese capital known as Hue. Take a few days to have a wander and see the sights, especially some of the wonderful old temples around the place.

Pop into Hoi An

This is the place to go for excellent quality tailored clothes at great prices. Shop around and enjoy the beautiful streets of Hoi An. If you have got time, wander down to the beach, which is quite nice.

Nha Trang

If you are into scuba diving you will love Nha Trang. There are plenty of lovely beaches to investigate, and heaps of opportunities to get under the water and have a look at the marine life there. If diving isn't really your thing you'll probably only need a couple of days there.

Slip into Saigon

Some will know Saigon as Ho Chi Minh city. This is Vietnam's central business district. It is even louder and busier than Hanoi! But it has heaps to see and do, so stick around for a while.

Mekong Delta

An experience like no other - find a boat and make your way down the Mekong Delta. Don't forget to stop at

Don't pass up Phu Quoc Island

This island is located just south of Cambodia and is like a little piece of paradise. Though it is growing commercially, it is still unspoiled and can offer clear waters and beautiful, long beaches.
