What You Can Expect On A Holiday In France

By Lauren Black

If by chance or choice, a family were to take a holiday in France, and be there on July 14th, they would likely find one of biggest celebrations in the country. In Paris, along the avenue of Champs-Elysees, they would see a military parade of huge proportions. Guests and dignitaries from around the world would be in attendance. This is the anniversary of attacking the prison fortress called the Bastille, during the French Revolution.

Vacationing history buffs would be in heaven, attending such an event. However, France offers everyone who visits there opportunities for not only history, but adventure and special sights across the countryside.

There are many stops on a river cruise that will allow time to visit a winery and taste the local wines. The countryside is very beautiful, and the food along the route is the very best.

Other mobile holidays include family oriented camps where roughing it meets convenience. Farm estates have been converted to areas that both children and adults will delight in, such as hammocks strung between trees for relaxing moments, petting areas full of baby farm animals, and meals prepared for them, for stress-free dining pleasure.

These places also have pools, game areas and outdoor toilets, along side more formal but beautiful flowers, bushes and trees. Don't forget the catered meals. There is room, it seems for both the modern and old fashioned kind of outdoor fun.

Take a few hours and visit the fashion district for some fun and exciting shopping. Paris is so much to so many, and perhaps everyone sees this city a little differently. The country of France is very beautiful, and there is so much history to be found there.

From the south to the north, France offers a variety of fun things to do for tourists. This holiday in France may be the one thing the entire family does that will be memorable forever. A river cruise could be another thing that tops off this vacation. History is everywhere. Normandy beaches can be walked on in safety now, since times are much different now.
