Think you can't afford mosaic glass tiles? Think again

By Matilda H. Cox

There are a wide variety of ways in which glass mosaics can be used. Truly glamorous interiors can be created with them, but that doesn't mean you need to break the bank. Glass mosaics can be expensive, but by using them selectively and finding a good supplier, you can keep costs down.

When it comes to mosaic glass tiles, the less is more maxim definitely applies. By combining them with other materials, you can keep costs down and also make sure you don't lapse from gorgeousness into garishness.

Glass tiles work beautifully in bathrooms. In terms of interior design, bathrooms have really taken off in recent years, and are the perfect space in which to make a bold statement. This is the first room you go into when you leave your bedroom each morning and the last room you go into before going back to bed each night, so creating a space that's a pleasure to be in is certainly worthwhile.

It can be expensive to completely redecorate your bathroom, especially when you want to use the best materials available. One option, if the room is in a pretty good condition, is to just update a small section of your bathroom. Mosaic tiles could be used behind a shower, or as a backsplash for your sink, for instance.

Glass mosaic tiles can also be used to create borders, and non-slip varieties can be used on the floor. If you're on a tight budget, there are some great deals out there. Glass tiles can also work excellently in kitchens, as well as outdoors, in a pool area for example. Because they can look so dazzling, you can get away with not spending loads and still create something that will make an impact and lift your home to the next level.
