Traveling around the world is an expensive hobby, both in time and money. I can't do it as often as I'd like, but I still take every travel opportunity that I can manage. It can really shake up your ideas about the world when you see other cultures compared to your own.
I've made it a goal in my life to visit as many countries as I can, and I plan on continuing to learn about new places for as long as I can. Out of all the countries I've seen, however, one of them stands out as a truly exciting and interesting place.
Two years ago, I took a trip to Spain. It ended up being the best trip I've ever taken, and Spain became my new favorite country of all the ones I've traveled to.
Located in Southern Europe, Spain has a one-of-a-kind culture that can't be found anywhere else. It has a lot to offer visitors; here are just a few of its great qualities and locations.
First, the country is bordered on its South and East sides by beautiful coasts, with the Eastern seaboard facing the Mediterranean Sea. There are some great port cities on this side of Spain, such as Valencia and Barcelona. The beaches are beautiful in the East, as well.
Not to be outdone, the Southern boundary of Spain is called the Costa del Sol and also offers miles of gorgeous beaches. It's also peppered with beautiful resort towns like Marbella.
Though the beaches were incredible, my favorite part of Spain is still Madrid. Fusing the convenience of a modern city with traditional Spanish culture, the city offers a very authentic representation of the Spanish experience.
You'll always find something to do in Madrid, whether it's eating at the great restaurants, doing some shopping, or being a part of the nightlife. There's never any shortage of excitement in the city.
There is so much to see in Spain that it can't all be contained in one article, and I'll be writing more about this wonderful country later. But rest assured that any vacation to Spain will be a fantastic one.
