Whether your side of the hemisphere is moving into summer or sliding into winter, a pink quilt is something that's trendy and welcoming all year.
After working on a number of green quilt designs, I've decided to jump to the opposite side of the color spectrum and go right for Pink.
So to get you going I've mapped out a few ideas for some pink quilt covers.
Pink Diamonds
As the old chestnut goes "diamonds are a girl's best friend" and in this example, you can cuddle up in a bed covered in diamonds!
There are a couple of selections you will have to make here, namely what type of diamonds will you select. There's the easy square tilted 45 degrees kind of diamond or you could go for the jeweller cut style of diamonds, with a flat top and a long, pointy bottom.
The other factor you're going to have to consider is the contrasting. Black and white are both good colours that contrast with pink, however select wisely as they can have different effects on a room, so take that into consideration!
Princess Quilts
If you make a quilt for a special (and fortunate) young lady, you've probably already considered making a princess quilt "and if you haven't, why not?
When some individuals think of princesses, they imagine dainty ladies in trouble, either waiting to be rescued or to be taken by a dragon again!
There's more to a fairy tale princess than that. You might have them riding a noble steed, practising an instrument or, if you actually want to change it up, rescuing a prince which has got himself into a sticky situation.
Other Patterns
If you're not taken by these ideas, there's pleny of regular patterns that would look simply dazzling if they were redone with a pink as the major colour.
Celitc designs, spirals, patchwork quilts and more would look good with some dashes of pink thrown in.
So give it a go, you may be surprised at how well it turns out!
