Pregnancy can make your nose more sensitive, causing everyday smells you barely noticed before to become nauseating. A little bit of lavender oil or lemon on a handkerchief can help if nausea is a frequent problem. You can use the handkerchief to cover you nose whenever you encounter an odor that bothers you.

If you are pregnant, don't treat acne with any products containing salicylic acid. Although it is a useful, deep cleansing treatment for acne, it can cause harm to the fetus. To help control your acne and prevent breakouts while pregnant, use a mild daily cleanser.

You should consider swimming when you are pregnant. Sometimes the thought of putting on a swimming suit late in pregnancy seems undesirable, however, the rewards you can get from swimming can be worth it. The water is wonderful for supporting the additional body weight that you are carrying, while relieving some of the muscle aches you dealing with. Swimming is also a very effective form of exercise.

Go to the grocery store after you eat. Cravings for unhealthy foods will occur frequently during your pregnancy. Although it's okay to occasionally indulge your cravings, for the most part, eat healthy, nutritious foods throughout your pregnancy. If you're not hungry while you're shopping, you're much more likely to stick to your list.

Check for STDs when you're pregnant. It these serious conditions are not treated, the result will be harmful to your growing child. Your doctor can easily test to see if you have a sexually transmitted disease by checking your blood, urine, or doing a pap smear. Some may require that you consider delivery by Caesarian section

Keep a journal throughout your pregnancy. Many years down the road, a child will be delighted to read the pages of a pregnancy journal. Record your thoughts about your pregnancy, and your wishes for your unborn child. This will be cherished by him or her one day.

It's okay if you learn things piece by piece. Pregnancy lasts nine long months. It is a process, and not a singular event. Learn as you go, accumulating the necessary information as you need it.
