Choosing A Good Double Jogging Stroller

By Danny Speirs

Choosing the right double jogging stroller for you and your kids doesn't have to be a painful event. While it can be a hard decision, there a few basic things to understand that can make your decision easier. No matter how much you like a certain jogging stroller, if your kids hate riding in it, then it won't really do you any good. That's why your children's comfort is really the main thing to think about.

Choose the right double jogging stroller for you shouldn't be a painful decision. First you must seek and find the features you want, one of the first things you need to realize is that there is no perfect stroller that you will find that meets all your requirements. I know it stinks. You will probably find two that you like, which will be essentially the same with each of them having a great thing that you want the other does not. For example, you might find one that you love that has a fixed front wheel, while you had your heart set on a swivel front wheel. A $200 stroller would not hurt the ol 'wallet too bad, until your children refuse to ride in it, and you realize that it pulls to the left, and has a wobbly rear tire.

First, the best running strollers will have a fixed front wheel. Yes, it is more difficult to turn, and you can't spin it around in small circles, but it makes all the difference in the world when you're running and it feels like the stroller is rolling on its own. The only difference is that if you go off-road with your stroller, like walking on the trails or across the park, or even on the beach, you'll want a swivel front wheel.

The best strollers for running will have inflatable tires similar to a pedal bike. This makes them easy to push and easy to maneuver. The cheap strollers will have solid plastic wheels.

The main thing this comes down to is your budget, what you can afford, or what you are willing to pay for a new stroller. You should nail this down before you start shopping, because if you let your child experiment with the nicest one, which is more expensive, do not be surprised if they won't get out, especially if they are accustomed to a cheap stroller. High-end strollers are usually worth the expense, but if it's just something that you can not afford, then stick with a budget stroller.
