Before starting this project of yours, you need to buy the materials in the nearest shopping center; bog and small rubber bands, sixty diapers or more, double sided tapes, cake platter, ribbons of any size and color, 8-oz baby bottles, cake decorations and baby stuffs like small toys etc.
Diapers are usually white, if you want to have a colored diaper cake, color them with the use of a spray paint. If this doesn't work, buy a regular paint and mix it with a white glue. Do not let the mothers use them for their children. They can have skin rashes afterwards. Be careful.
The first thing to do is to roll and secure all of the diapers with a rubber band one by one. Prepare the cake platter and one baby bottle. Place the bottle at the center of the platter and attach the rolled diapers at ones. There should be at least five or six diapers attached to the bottle then put a big rubber band around it. Then repeat the procedure again two times. For the next two layers, the second layer should be thinner than the third layer and the first should contain only five or six.
After you attach the layers, you will now decorate the cake. Cut the ribbons exactly like the size of the three layers leaving only one inch for the tape. Attach the ribbons and put the cake decorations; flowers, fruits etc. Always make sure that everything was 100% attached on the diaper cake.
The kids love candies and toys so do not forget to put some of this on the cake. Put small towels, small bears, pacifiers, small baby bottles and some pictures of your child. Display this in the dining room and get ready for the party. Read more about: custom diaper cakes
