The Main Differences Between Scrapbooking Albums - Part 2

By Janette Miller

In the last article we looked at the difference and advantages ring bound and postbound scrapbook albums.

This time we will be turning our attention to the various types of custom designed and themed scrapbook albums available.

Un-themed Albums

We should start by having a look at albums that have no theme set at all. These are essentially a blank canvas, waiting for you to add your individual touch of creativeness to make it truly yours.

You might find that not one of the custom themed albums are ideal for you or you simply need to make something that's truly your own design. In this case an un-themed album is right for you. They can be found in all colors, dark, light, pastel and fluro as well as ring and post-bound kinds.

You may also get some with light or general decorations such as pin stripes, light swirls or vines, just to split up the solidness a bit. Its also a great platform to start to add your own decorations too!

Themed scrapbooks

There's a gigantic spread of themes available for scrapbooks. If you can think of it, chances are that there's at least one album that has a pre-designed theme available for it, although you may have to search around for it a bit.

The commonest themes that pop up are marriage, kids, disney, sports, baby and high school scrapbook themes.

If you're not taken by any of the particular themes, there also are a number of 'designer ' themes that aren't focused around a selected topic, but have lots of decoration and personality to them. Probabilities are you will find one that is just perfect for you.

You'll find that many of these are post-bound albums, with the odd ring bound album available.

If you keep your eyes out, I am sure you will find an album that's just perfect for you!
